Warren Hosts Ribbon Cutting, Dedication for Water Treatment Plant
The Warren Water District hosted a ribbon cutting for the new Comins Pond Wells Water Treatment Plant in Warren, MA. Tighe & Bond provided design, bidding, and construction phase services for the new 0.5 MGD treatment plant project.
The water distribution system is supplied by two wells, adjacent to Comins Pond, both of which contain high iron and manganese levels. The new treatment plant addresses the issue by housing the GreensandPlus Filtration system for iron and manganese removal, chemical feed systems, and related facilities. The building is a pre-engineered 3,600-square-foot metal building and includes heating, ventilation, plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system.
The water treatment plant was dedicated in memory of Warren Water Board Member Armand Dimo and long-time Tighe & Bond employee, Thomas Couture.
