Tighe & Bond and Jennifer Reynolds recognized by CTAWWA
Our team recently celebrated two award wins from the Connecticut Section of the American Water Works Association (CTAWWA) at the 51st Annual CTAWWA/Connecticut Water Works Association Annual Joint Conference in Manchester, Vermont.
Our firm won the Diversity & Inclusion Award in recognition of our efforts to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) in our workforce, industry, and communities. Our DE&I program highlights the valuable contributions of our DE&I Committee. Initiatives include: the formation of various Employee Resource Groups; tracking and analyzing demographic data related to gender and Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) representation across various career levels; informational roundtables and communications; supporting DE&I events and activities in the community; incorporating DE&I through awareness training, our company culture, and operations; and expanding recruitment efforts and candidate outreach through diversification of educational institutions and scholarship offerings.
Jennifer Reynolds, PE, also received the Outstanding Young Professional Award in recognition of her service to CTAWWA and work to advance young professionals in the water industry. Jennifer serves as Co-Chair of CTAWWA’s Education and Program Committee, where she helps to organize and lead training opportunities for operators throughout the year through CTAWWA programming.
She has been an active participant in the Section’s annual conferences through serving as a planning committee member, as well as serving as a presenter and moderator during the events. Additionally, Jennifer participated in the Section’s Strategic Planning process to help set the vision and goals for the Section for years to come, has served as a judge at the Section’s Hydrant Hysteria Training and Competition, recruits new members and encourages deeper involvement for current members, and connects with other young professionals through the Section’s Young Professional events.
