Athletic Complex Design Maximizes Practice Space for Fall and Spring Sports
Working closely with St. Thomas Aquinas High School, our team designed a new synthetic athletic field to accommodate several fall and spring sports, including football, soccer, field hockey, and lacrosse. The field was oversized to maximize available practice space. As part of the complex, we provided a new 400-seat bleacher system with a press box and new LED stadium lighting.
The available land area was not large enough to accommodate a running track. To assist the track team, a three-lane 110-meter track section was designed. This track surface will allow practice for the 100-meter and 110-meter high hurdles; 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles; passing zones and long/triple jumps. We also added space to accommodate high jumps and pole vaulting.
