Setting Our Site on Fresh and Vibrant
The Hampshire Hospitality Group was on a mission. It wanted to redevelop its existing Clarion Hotel and Conference Center property to provide fresh, vibrant professional and medical office space that would be an asset to both itself and the City of Northampton.
A Developing Story
Tighe & Bond provided civil/site engineering and permitting services associated with the Northwood and the Hospitality North developments on Atwood Drive in Northampton, Massachusetts. The Northwood Development, located on the south side of Atwood Drive, included the construction of two buildings providing more than 84,000 gross square feet of medical and general office space.
The goal of the Hospitality North project, located on the north side of Atwood Drive, is to redevelop that site as well.
This project included a stormwater management design to specifically address the requirements of Northampton’s Stormwater Management Ordinance. Since the project was located almost entirely within a floodplain, it required that compensatory storage volumes be provided as part of the building program.
