Richard Protasowicki is Director of Project Management and Vice President in Tighe & Bond’s Water Business Line, based out of the Worcester office. In this role, Rich serves as Project Director for drinking water projects across the Northeast, while also leading the Water Business Line’s project management efforts. Rich has 30 years of experience in a wide range of multi-disciplinary water engineering projects for municipalities from planning to implementation.
His experience includes master plans, water quality studies, pilot testing, water treatment facilities and pumping stations, new sources, replacement wells, storage tanks, distribution system infrastructure, and infrastructure inspections. His specialized experience includes emerging contaminants (PFAS, 1,4-dioxane, etc.), iron and manganese treatment, membrane filtration, and ultraviolet (UV) light disinfection.
Life Outside of Work:
Rich enjoys spending quality time with his family, traveling, and spending as much time as he can on, in, or near the water.
