Jeffrey Arps is responsible for the day-to-day management of numerous comprehensive site assessment and remediation projects as a Licensed Site Professional under the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP). The majority of his assessment projects are conducted at sites being evaluated for eventual remediation and redevelopment. Jeffrey also has experience in the assessment and closure of municipal and industrial solid waste facilities and developing hazardous waste contingency plans for construction activities where hazardous materials may be encountered.
Over the last several years, Jeffrey’s work has focused on the impact of per-and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS) contamination in soil, groundwater, and drinking water from the application of aqueous film-forming foam (AFFF) and PFAS-containing biosolids. Jeffrey was also the only LSP to serve on the Massachusetts legislature’s PFAS Interagency Task Force.
Life Outside of Work
Outside of work, Jeffrey is active in supporting local non-profit organizations and enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His hobbies include playing hockey and golf, spending time camping and boating, and rooting for the Bruins, Patriots, and Red Sox.
