Jason Urso specializes in mechanical design for heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. He has experience in a multitude of building applications, giving him a diverse background in all types of mechanical systems. His designs integrate sustainable, innovative technology to achieve maximum system efficiency and reducing operating costs. Jason also has construction administration experience and is adept at ensuring building systems are constructed in accordance with the contract documents.
Jason is involved with his local Chapter of ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers). He serves on the Board of Governors and holds the Secretary and Membership Promotion position in the Connecticut/Western Massachusetts Chapter. Jason was the recipient of three ASHRAE Region 1 awards, including the Young Engineers in ASHRAE – Outstanding Performance Award and the Thomas S. Brown Membership Award.
Life Outside of Work
Jason enjoys spending time with his wife, and two young children. They spend their summers camping and fishing, and can be found skiing in Vermont during the winter. His hobbies include hiking, golf, and making homemade maple syrup from his maple trees located on his property.
