Amanda Houle, PWS, CERP

Principal Environmental Scientist

“The most rewarding part of my work is building lasting relationships with clients and guiding them through the complexities of environmental regulations to achieve the greatest positive impact on the environment.”

With two decades of experience, Amanda specializes in wetland delineation, natural resource assessments, environmental permitting and compliance, ecological restoration, mitigation, and invasive species management. She navigates complex municipal, state, and federal environmental regulations to secure permits for a wide range of projects, including municipal infrastructure improvements, ecological restoration, power utility improvements, and private development.

Her work spans both inland and coastal wetland resource areas, where she conducts delineations, botanical surveys, wildlife habitat assessments, vernal pool evaluations, and invasive species management planning. In addition to her technical expertise, Amanda is highly skilled in project management, regulatory strategy, multi-agency permitting, team coordination, and stakeholder engagement. She also oversees construction projects to support environmental compliance and project success.

Amanda serves as the Location Leader for Tighe & Bond’s Pocasset office and is a Senior Technical Specialist in the Environmental Business Line. She is an active member of the Society of Wetland Scientists, Society of Ecological Restoration, the Association of Massachusetts Wetland Scientists, the Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions, and the Society of Women Environmental Professionals.

Life Outside Work

Outside of work, Amanda spends as much time outdoors as possible and enjoys being by the ocean, going for a hike in the woods, visiting the mountains, or working in her garden.
