Jeremy Degler Named a Certified Wildlife Biologist
Jeremy Degler, PWS, CWS recently became a Certified Wildlife Biologist® (CWB) advancing his breadth of specialties in environmental science. Throughout his eleven years of experience, Degler has worked in environmental consulting across the United States serving a wide variety of clients in the energy, transportation, and development sectors.
Working from our Portsmouth, NH office, his primary focus is wetland/stream delineations and assessments, mitigation and restoration, vernal pool surveys, environmental permitting, construction regulatory compliance monitoring, and endangered species surveys. These surveys have included emergence and habitat surveys for rare, threatened, and endangered bat and bird species such as northern long-ear bat, Indiana bat, piping plover, upland sandpiper, and pied-billed grebe. Degler has conducted Utilized Drone (UAS) technology to conduct nest surveys on top of telecommunication towers in order to keep Verizon Wireless in compliance with the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.
His new CWB title allows him to expand his current role with Tighe & Bond and provide a specialized service to clients across the Northeast. With his certification, Degler helps clients navigate state regulatory changes that require permit applications to have an official wildlife report.
