Jeffrey Faulkner, PE Named President of Massachusetts Water Works Association
The Massachusetts Water Works Association (MWWA) announced that Jeffrey Faulkner, PE has been inducted as President of the Association, effective November 5, 2021. A professional organization that focuses on the advancement of the drinking water profession, MWWA addresses public health and safe drinking water for all Massachusetts residents through education and advocacy.
Faulkner is a Senior Project Manager for Tighe & Bond, Inc. out of the Worcester office. He has over 22 years of professional experience providing engineering and management of water and wastewater projects throughout New England. His experience includes planning, design, and construction administration on a variety of civil/environmental projects, focusing primarily in the area of drinking water supply, treatment, distribution, and storage.
A member of MWWA since 2003, Faulkner co-chaired the Education Committee, which is responsible for promoting continuing education for the water works profession and encouraging operation personnel to achieve a high level of integrity. Faulkner played an important role in developing training seminars for drinking water operators and was instrumental in the development of the MWWA pre-requisite courses (distribution, basic treatment, and advanced treatment) required to be taken by drinking water operators prior to sitting for licensing exams for which he received an MWWA Special Achievement Award. In 2014, Faulkner was presented with the prestigious William H. McGinness Award due to his knowledge, contributions, accomplishments in the water works profession, and outstanding service to the association.
Faulkner has served on the MWWA Board of Directors since 2017. He is looking forward to serving as the Association’s President and working with the Board, Executive Director, Committees, and membership on educational programs and advocacy efforts.
