Gant Science Complex Receives CBC Project Team Award
At the 27th Annual Connecticut Building Congress Project Team Awards, the University of Connecticut (UConn) Gant Science Complex Renovation Project received an Award of Merit in the Higher Education category. The award is given to project teams that embody excellence in teamwork and best practices resulting in outstanding building projects.
Working with the expanded project team, Tighe & Bond’s environmental scientists and compliance specialists contributed to the multi-phased project by conducting hazardous building material assessments (HBMA), abatement design, and construction administration services.
Tighe & Bond has also provided on-call mechanical, electrical, plumbing engineering services for the University, including engineering design for an emergency generator replacement at the school’s Atwater Lab.
