Lonza Biologics is a subsidiary of Lonza Group AG, one of the world’s leading suppliers to the pharmaceutical, biotech and specialty ingredients markets. For more than 20 years, we have been providing site/civil engineering services to this manufacturer at its Portsmouth campus.
Campus Growth
Our work with this industry giant has included several large scale expansion projects. Most recently we provided engineering for the construction of three new buildings (totaling approximately 1 million square feet of gross floor area), and two new parking garages. The project consisted of associated site improvements such as utilities, lighting, landscaping and LID stormwater management systems that include three gravel wetlands and one rain garden. It also included a stream restoration design that daylights an existing culvert running across the property to create a new 1,000 linear foot stream at the headwaters of the Hodgson Brook. Services included conceptual master planning, site design and permitting for local, state and federal approvals.
