As a Project Manager in our Transportation Business Line, Andrea Lacasse, P.E. specializes in bridge design and construction with nearly two decades of experience. Andrea also serves as the bridge team leader and bridge community of practice chair where she fosters a growth mindset. Andrea has a wide range of experience spanning from conceptual engineering through construction management and oversight. She has assisted Massachusetts municipalities with the successful design and implementation of complex bridge construction projects, working to evaluate state and federal funding sources for possible opportunities.
Andrea has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and a Master’s degree in Engineering & Public Policy from the University of Maryland-College Park. Upon completing her master’s degree, Andrea expanded her expertise to include the analysis of economic impacts from transportation projects.
Life Outside of Work
Outside of work, Andrea enjoys listening to live music with friends, taking her son on adventures, and cooking for loved ones. She served for several years as a Structures Specialist on the Massachusetts Task Force for FEMA Urban Search and Rescue as well as on the Planning and Construction Committee in her hometown and volunteers every year reviewing scholarship applications for the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts.
